The sun was rising up over the mountains as Story laid there, her eyes watching all that was happening around her. Turkeys flew to their roosts for a few hours, while deer traveled a few feet in front of her, some of their young hiding away with their mothers. Some born earlier in spring traveling with their mothers and the herd, but always staying right beside their maternal figure. She couldn't help but smile about this, as she yawned.
The skies where starting to take color as a few single clouds rolled lazily above the lands. Today was bound to be an adventure all on its own. No rain clouds were in sight, a nice clear day. Maybe Story could actually get to know this land that she slept within the night before. For almost a week the she wolf claimed these lands as her own, but they weren't technically hers. It belonged to all the creatures.
Soon the jet vixen flopped over onto her side she watched birds and ducks fly down to the waters she laid close to, to bathe themselves. It was a perfect picture. A lazy early morning, with nothing to do for right now anyway. Its not like Scarlet minded at all. A smile crossed her features as she rose up and trotted towards the edge of the embankment. Her nostrils taking in all the new scents, storing them away for future use. A lot of them she remembered from when she was a young lass.
But now everything was new and different. Everything seemed to actually be looking up for Story, and this made her thank the goddess's and gods of Abhaya. She was glad she came here. She didn't know what to do if she didn't. She shook her dial slightly, and then stretched, her muscles relaxing as she lowered her cranium to the waters letting her rosin lap up some of the liquid. One could not complain about this kind of start to a brand new day. Nor if they did, did they have the right too.
Scents of wolves that traveled threw here were strong. Maybe she would run into one of them? The thought made her chuckle as she lifted her head slightly, letting loose water droplets drip off of her maw back into the water. The sing songs of the robins lifted Storys spirit though, such beautiful tunes and sounds all these creatures made around her. If she was human she was sure to dance, that is if humans could dance.
She padded into the waters, feeling fish swim unknowingly threw her legs and under her belly and tail. As if not fazed by the new creature within their waters. Yes, the waters belonged to the fish. As she padded towards the other side, the deer ignored her. As if scenting she was not hungry. The rabbit she ate that night had given her energy and had filled her some how. Even though it was a small little rabbit. She passed them and looked about for a single moment before venturing threw the lands a little more. Too see where she truly was.
Soon she realized sh was alone in a loner land. Moving towards th pack lands of Wydowen Valley pack boarders. She wanted to be a part of the pack. Lowered her frame down upon the ground, as the damsel curled her tail against her bodice. Ears flicked at the sounds of the birds singing, still full from the following nights small meal. Soft calls were given forth for the Alpha's ears.

//Hey Skel, could you change the font face of your writing next post? It's really hard to read like this. Thanks.
Darach's head lifted slightly as he heard the soft call and his eye's flicked over his family, their ears all pricking at the noise as well. He knew the call of course, but it was pretty unexpected, considering how many there were in his pack already, even if they were all family. He could tell from it's timbre that the loner was female and his tail twitched slightly. Insofar, the pack was evenly matched when it came to the sexes, but he was well aware that new blood would be needed eventually.
Not that his brothers couldn't mate with Rasa's sisters, should they choose to and he allowed it, but down the line, it would become a problem if the only prospects his own children had for mates were their own cousins, should they stay with the pack. That thought gave him pause for a moment before he made a decision. He turned his head and let out a sharp bark, calling his heir to him. Erebus was his variable twin in everything but size, as the male was still young and his paws made a quick line over to his father.
Erebus trotted up to him expectantly, dipping his head and Darach quickly gave his instructions. The younger male's head quirked momentarily before dipping his head once more in acknowledgement and moving to trot off in the direction of the borderlands to greet the newcomer, as per his orders. Darach had told his son to greet and assess the fae and if she seemed healthy and worthy, to allow her to join them.--- At first, Erebus was confused by his father's orders, as they had yet to welcome a loner into their pack and assumed the older brute would want to make the decision personally, but he could see Darach's reasons almost immediately. He was being tested; his decision and actions up for review. This would be his first real chance to act like the Alpha he was to become and a grin pulled at his jowls at the thought.
He made quick work traversing the path down from the mountain lookout where their family den lay and quickly made his way toward the borderlands in the direction which they'd heard the fae. His steps slowed as he approached, so as not to alarm her and his head cocked. Dark fur covered the female from tip to tip, much like he and his father and he found this lightened his apprehension more than it should have and he resolutely steeled himself before approaching her crouched form.
He stood with his head and tail held high, as befitting his station and addressed her in a strong voice. "I am called Erebus; heir to these lands. State your business, fae." There. That sounded strong and confident, right? He took a deeper breath as he waited for her response, her subtle scent wafting to him on the breeze. He was glad of it too, rather than getting into a vulnerable and close position to assess her health, the wind had done half his job for him. He tried to calm his racing heart, titillated by the responsibility on his shoulders to either accept or reject a potential pack member.

Ears flicker as the beautiful inky pigment upon the damsel faded into the great shadows of the boarders. As her ears flicked forward at the sound of something coming to her. Sure she was a little longer than this male, she might be anyway. As violet eyes looked up to the one known as Erebus. The vixen was proud as Hunter and Lily her parents. And taught her how to be submissive, and dominate at the same time when Story had to be.
Tension soon got her attention as he stood there, cocking her cranium slightly. She liked how he did come up to her, and she could tell that he was the heir with out him even speaking of it. As she smiled to him slightly. His voice ringing out for her to hear. As she noted that of his name being Erebus.
" Hello there Erebus. I am looking for a pack to become a member within. " A smile crossed the damsels muzzle as she relaxed now. He didn't have to wonder if she was in good health for she was. Her tail curling up against her as winds brushed threw her hair. It did tickle kind of. As her dark pelt shifted with the winds. She was happy that this would help the other to take scent of Story. Thunder crackled in the distance, as she didn't jump at the loud boom.
" Seems as though the lands of Abyaha may be in for a treat today. " She looked to him, her eyes seemed to hold a smile within them. As her tail curled, and she sat up, dipping her head down slightly in a very respectiful mannor. The winds now blew in her favor, and noted that he was also in good health. The scent of others assulted her nostrils as well, which made her sneeze.
(I hope this is better. If not let me know please .)
