On the lower and mid reaches of Kaspien Mountain are the vantage points that the pack has claimed and carved homes. Years of rain and snow have weathered the mountain side creating declines into the stone. Further excavation made by other animals and time, have made for a number of niches, hidey-holes and a few larger caves along the paths winding up the ridge. The alphas den is located midway up at the highest point where an outcropping allows for a view of the valley and forest below. Right beneath it is a larger plateau where meetings are held and meals are shared.

The woodland merging with the western side of the mountain is more of a jungle due to the humidity that tends to accumulate within the dense forest. Heat gets trapped within the forest and due to the falls that send torrents of water throughout the channels that snake through the forest the insect-life is thriving most of the season. During the snow months the abundance of tree limbs creates a makeshift barrier, preventing a majority of the snowfall from accumulating too thick to penetrate. Strangely, some the large herbivores like the area because of the protection of the rock formations that sprout up. A secure place to give birth makes it a magnet for expecting animals. Thick foliage create barriers, bramble patches become a constant irritation in the norther sectors where the woods are thickest. worse is that the areas plentiful produce attracts bears, residents must proceed with caution.

Thinning timberland and rocky soil gives way to a spacious realm of golden threads. Stalks of wheat sashay at the winds command. When growing unchecked the feathered tops brush the shoulders of most wolves and impair vision for those slinking through the windy moorland. In the evening there is no shortage of magic flitting about as lightning bugs dance in and out of existence and stars, strewn across the heavens, laugh above. The habitat is the perfect sector to find the largest game that reside within valley made between the shadow of the mountains and the yonder woodland. Large herds tend to amass close to the river but can always be caught grazing in the enchanting ambiance.
